For anyone attending IBC 2012, the biggest media event in Europe, there’s no mistaking that the industry has changed significantly in recent years.

FACT (Federation Against Copyright Theft) certification is a key data protection standard for the European film and broadcasting industry and accreditation adds an additional layer of reassurance for Equinix customers in the content and digital media industries.
For our customers such as Front Porch Digital, who this week announced a new collaboration with broadcaster ITN, it’s an important safeguard in their ability to offer solutions to manage video files and workflows while ensuring performance and security.
Indeed, their business is a good example of how things have changed from the early days where they offered TV companies a tape back-up service to now where they can supply a full suite of storage and disaster recovery tools either on site or in the cloud.
