Earlier this year I blogged about a European research project by Equinix that set out to explore how the digital media industry was adapting to an interconnected world and the emergence of a ‘next generation media enterprise’.

We engaged media specialists MTM to conduct the programme of research amongst senior industry professionals and they examined perceptions of the current landscape and the benefits & challenges associated with increased interconnectivity across suppliers, customers & marketplaces.

The White Paper – ‘Building the Next Generation Media Enterprise. Innovation through Interconnectivity’ – is now complete and I will be discussing it in detail alongside MTM during a special Webinar to be held on Tuesday July 9th at 15.00 BST (16.00 CET).

The research has provided a fascinating view on how the digital media industry is changing, as greater connectivity, faster processing and cloud infrastructure become more widely available.

In the Webinar we will expand on this as well as discuss:

•  How media enterprises are realizing significant benefits by becoming more interconnected, ultimately leading to increased competitiveness

•  That the primary driver of greater interconnectivity is the migration of media & advertising to IP-connected platforms and environments

•  Why a new wave of innovation is being driven by connected marketplaces, exchanges & ecosystems and cloud-based delivery platforms

•  How Equinix can play an increasingly important part in this strategic shift – providing connectivity with multiple carriers and cloud providers, improving performance & scalability

Everyone who attends the webinar will receive a copy of the White Paper and you can register for the event now:
