At Equinix Asia-Pacific, we are very fortunate to be recognized by industry leaders throughout a range of organizations for our best-practices and quality services. This year, we’ve accepted a raft of awards that identify the best of breed services and technologies, extending far beyond financial results.
What’s most gratifying is that these powerful awards recognize our entire organization, not specific individuals, for our world-class excellence and performance, reflecting the high calibre and optimum team performance of our very talented staff.
Among accolades, receiving the Best Data Centre Service Provider of the Year award from industry publication, Telecom Asia and the Asia Pacific ICT Award from global consulting firm, Frost & Sullivan was a unique coup. Specifically, these awards recognized Equinix for its revenue growth and commitment to expanding services and investment throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Judges also delivered the coveted award to Equinix for its commitment to innovation, specifically around green technology. Additionally, Frost and Sullivan’s inaugural Singapore Award named Equinix the 2013 Singapore Datacenter Service Provider of the Year.
Another award and one that is highly coveted is the NetworkWorld Asia – Readers’ Choice Product Excellence Award. Announced in late October, Equinix was named the winner in the Data Center Hosting/Colocation Services category. This particular award was especially sought-after, as the winners were chosen by readers, most of which are customers, who voted for the IT vendor that made the most impact on their organization over the last year.
For Equinix, the Readers’ Choice award not only validates that we are continuing to deliver best-in-class services in a highly dynamic environment, but also validates our Asia-Pacific strategy to enable companies throughout the region to accelerate growth by directly connecting to customers, partners and potential business partners around the world via deployment in our data centers.
Moreover, one of the most gratifying awards that we can accept are the ones that acknowledge that what we do is beneficial not only for clients but for the environment we operate in.
One of Equinix’s key differentiators is that we are on the forefront of environmentalism, developing eco-friendly and sustainable models for our data centers long before the ‘greenification’ of the industry became the new marketing buzz flavour.
In fact, the Equinix SG2 Singapore Data Center was awarded a GoldPLUS Rating for the adoption of energy efficient design, technologies and systems by the Green Mark for Data Centres, a new green building ranking system jointly developed by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and Infocomm Development Authority (IDA). Specifically, Equinix was recognized for achieving energy savings of 4.3 million kilowatts hours annually and a reduction of 10% in electricity.
While this has been a great year for Equinix in terms of recognition, we are most proud of our dedicated employees who consistently develop best-in-class services for our customers and continually raise the bar on emerging industry standards.
