In the past two years, economies across the globe have never been more challenging. Our partners worldwide have had to make extra effort to seize all potential business opportunities inherent in the digital transformation journey, ensuring their existing digital infrastructures are always ready and fully capable of meeting their customers’ ever-evolving business needs.
According to the latest Global Interconnection Index (GXI Vol. 5), digitally mature businesses in Asia-Pacific are expected to expand their digital infrastructure 4x faster than at pre-pandemic levels. Also, the accelerated pace of digital transformation is predicted to fuel APAC interconnection bandwidth towards a 46% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) by 2024, reaching 6,002 Tbps or 28% of global interconnection bandwidth. With increasing demands from online businesses, there is a pressing need for partners to facilitate electronic integration with their customers and supply chains across different industries and reach more potential customers in distributed hybrid work environments, which are powered by interconnected digital infrastructures.

The time for a digital-first strategy is now.
The Global Interconnection Index (GXI) is the industry’s leading source of data and insight on interconnection and its increasing impact on the digital world. It shows what digital leaders across all industries are doing to accelerate their digital-first strategies.
Building a stronger connection digitally than ever before
With the vigorous growth of interconnection bandwidth in APAC, this dynamic region is experiencing advanced digital transformation in all industries via interconnected ecosystems of enterprises and service providers. At Equinix, we have faith in the power of the ecosystems where our partners can infuse their innovations and technological breakthroughs to benefit their end-users. Over the year, we have worked closely with our partners to formulate the best digital solutions to accommodate their newly launched digital infrastructures.
This year, we have collaborated with IDC to formalize and build a more definitive awards program for our partner community and have established 5 categories for our partners demonstrating extraordinary digital leadership for the partner awards, including Alliances, Trailblazer, Social Impact, Sell Through, and Partner of the Year. Join us in congratulating these industry pioneers who have fostered the growth of the digital ecosystem and accelerated the progress of digital business transformation across Asia-Pacific.
Nigel Parsons, Research Director, IDC APeJ Partner Programs, commented “Partner ecosystems are evolving and becoming more important to all vendors. Partners can complete platform solutions, ensure customer success, and extend vendor reach, and these factors have all been magnified during the pandemic with accelerated demand on digital transformation. We are pleased Equinix is recognizing their AP partners with this prestigious award and celebrating the success together.”
