Equinix Announces 2023 Global and Regional Partner Award Winners

Digital business is growing faster than ever as organizations rely on their trusted partner community to recommend and deliver customized offerings that will enable them to succeed. Over the last year, we have seen an increase in partners using Platform Equinix® to more closely collaborate and innovate on new offerings and services. The Global Interconnection Index (GXI) 2024, a global market study published by Equinix, shows that organizations now connect with 30% more business partners in twice as many locations. The report predicts that by 2026, 80% of G2000 companies will interconnect with 4+ Hyperscale Providers and 30+ SaaS/business partners on average.

Collaboration is vital for our extensive Equinix partner digital ecosystem which includes technology, network and cloud service providers, managed service providers, technology service distributors, systems integrators and value-added resellers—all committed to supporting our shared customers as they create foundational digital infrastructure on Platform Equinix. We see partner commitment to excellence at the highest level. Today, we recognize these top-performing companies with our global and regional 2023 Equinix Partner Awards.

Global Award Winners

This year’s Equinix Partner Awards recognize companies who demonstrated their commitment to helping Equinix customers advance their digital businesses. We proudly announce the 2023 global winners.

Partner of the Year

This partner has consistently delivered value to their customers’ business through the use of Platform Equinix for global reach and interconnection services harnessing the power of the ecosystem. The partner has demonstrated their commitment to working closely with Equinix to develop a proactive strategy and program to support customer success and recognize the value of our joint offerings.

AT&T Business

AT&T was one of our first customers 25 years ago and is now one of our largest global partners. As one of the world’s largest networking companies, AT&T’s extensive networking capabilities allow its mature global customer base and mid-market businesses to connect to hybrid and multicloud environments, customers, partners and ecosystems across Equinix IBX® data centers worldwide.

AT&T was one of our first partners to orchestrate and resell our digital services, including Equinix Network Edge, our virtualized network service solution. AT&T consistently demonstrates its understanding of how the joint strength of Equinix solutions combined with the depth of its network capabilities and reach can address an enterprise’s specific business needs, such as those that arise during mergers and acquisitions and business divestitures. AT&T is also a top fulfillment partner for mid-market customers.

In 2023, we continued to expand our executive alignment across all areas of the AT&T business. Global sales outreach and training across various business units, comprehensive marketing initiatives and AT&T and Equinix product team collaboration have helped drive significant joint sales wins.

Alliance of the Year

This partner demonstrated excellence, innovation and customer success in applying Equinix technologies to achieve breakthrough solutions with us and our clients.

Amazon Web Services

In 2023, the Equinix and Amazon Web Services (AWS) partnership continued to flourish across the sales, marketing and product teams, with deeper collaboration on co-selling initiatives, joint marketing campaigns, programs and events, and unified alignment with the Equinix multicloud product roadmap.

AWS remains a pivotal location for Equinix customers, with thousands utilizing AWS Direct Connect and Equinix colocation services for their hybrid cloud initiatives. Collaboration with the AWS Direct Connect service team led to the launch of new Direct Connect nodes in multiple metros across all three regions: the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Equinix and AWS continue to partner closely with the launch of our 49th Direct Connect location earlier this year supporting the new Calgary region launched by AWS. AWS Direct Connect enables private, secure and low latency access to AWS public cloud via Equinix IBX data center locations.

The collaboration on the advanced driver assistance services (ADAS) proof of concept for autonomous vehicle development at the Equinix Solution Validation Center® in Silicon Valley has successfully transitioned to full-scale customer trials. Together, AWS and Equinix are providing the infrastructure enterprises need to reduce data upload times to the cloud from months to as little as a few hours.
