Supercharge Your Multicloud Strategy with Seamless Integration of Private & Public Clouds

At Equinix, the power of ecosystems is central to our business model. That’s why we’ve focused on building our colocation footprint in the global markets that are home to dense ecosystems of service providers and enterprises. We work to give our customers the services they need to quickly interconnect with ecosystem partners across the globe.

That said, we don’t only advocate ecosystem partnerships for our customers; we also prioritize them for ourselves—as evidenced by Broadcom naming Equinix a VMware Cloud Service Provider (VCSP) Pinnacle Partner in the Broadcom Advantage Partner Program. We’ll work with Broadcom to help our mutual enterprise customers innovate by adopting VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) as their private cloud infrastructure. We view this announcement as a vote of confidence, and we couldn’t be more excited about what it means for the future.

More than the sum of our parts

At Equinix, we believe that we can achieve more together than we could alone. We see Broadcom as a partner that shares our goal of helping our mutual customers use private cloud services to transform their businesses, whether that means speeding innovation, optimizing costs, unlocking new market opportunities, or managing risk.

Pinnacle is the highest program level in the Broadcom Advantage Partner program. Pinnacle partners are Broadcom’s most invested and strategic partners, boasting extensive certifications, a track record of significant sales and service achievements, and broad international coverage. Holding Pinnacle status signifies a partner’s deep technological know-how and proficiency in addressing the most intricate customer issues. Broadcom works in close partnership with Pinnacle partners, including co-selling to mutual customers, to provide the foundational technology that drives the digital landscape.

Being named a Pinnacle Partner is just the latest development in our longstanding relationship with VMware (acquired by Broadcom). Over the years, Equinix and VMware have worked together to help thousands of mutual customers accelerate their multicloud journeys by seamlessly integrating private and public clouds.

We’re excited about this opportunity to unlock new business value for an even wider array of Broadcom customers. By bringing together VMware software with Equinix digital infrastructure services, we will empower customers to build flexible multicloud environments tailored to meet their unique requirements around performance, control, compliance, and security.

Equinix helps customers achieve even more

We believe that our mutual customers shouldn’t have to choose between the scalability and agility of public cloud services and the control and security of a private cloud. As a Pinnacle partner, we aim to help customers strike this balance by making it quicker and easier for them to access the private cloud services they know and love, and then integrate those services into their hybrid multicloud environments.

With Equinix, customers can consistently deploy the same VCF-based services they’re accustomed to running on-premises. The difference is, they can quickly stand up those services anywhere their business needs take them, thanks to our global footprint of Equinix IBX® colocation data centers in 70+ metros on six continents.

In addition, our on-demand digital services—including Equinix Metal® for dedicated bare metal servers and Equinix Fabric® for virtual networking services—provide infrastructure agility that can help customers use VMware solutions to their full potential. This includes deploying in proximity to top cloud providers in locations around the world and ensuring secure, low-latency connectivity with those cloud providers. Our mutual Equinix-VMware customers can also benefit from our other ecosystem partners, including top storage vendors.

One step toward further strengthening our relationship with Broadcom came when we announced that VMware Cloud Foundation is certified to run on Equinix Metal. In upcoming blog posts, we’ll provide more details about the VCF on Equinix Metal joint solution, including a look at how it supports a variety of enterprise customer use cases, and introduce our new managed services offerings, which will help us do even more to meet the needs of our mutual customers.

We believe the future holds great things for our mutual customers, and we look forward to the opportunity to validate the trust Broadcom has placed in us.
