This year the awards coincided with Questex’s Telco Strategies conference, which is very much focused on “digital transformation. And as the world's largest interconnection and data center provider, Equinix is right in the middle of this global shift to the “digital economy”.
This is the eighth year that Frost & Sullivan has run its Asia Pacific Best Practices Awards programme, which is geared towards recognizing companies across industries. Above all, it commends the diligence, commitment, and innovative business strategies required to advance in the global marketplace.
Equinix has just won the Data Center Dynamics (DCD) Award for “Cloud Journey of the Year” for the first year. What’s more, it has also taken the “Service Provider of the Year” Award for a second consecutive year.

At the NetworkWorld Asia Information Management Awards ceremony on Thursday 4 June, the industry found out which data center provider is currently first among equals. And, for the second year in a row the answer was Equinix, which won in the Data Center Services category.
Equinix has its own views on what customers are looking for in a successful data centre. In March alone we launched two data centres in the Asia Pacific – SG3 in Singapore and ME1 in Melbourne, Australia.
The award specifically recognized Equinix as a trendsetter, leading the industry in the identification and implementation of green initiatives and meeting strict energy efficiency requirements in all the leading markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
Telecom Asia honored Equinix with the coveted award for Best Service Provider during a ceremony in Jakarta last month, in the provision of best in class data center services, covering services for both in-house and third-party users.
