This year, Equinix is celebrating 20 years, and I’ve been here for almost all of them. I was here before Equinix had a single data center and I sweated out our early close calls. As the world’s leading interconnection and data center company, we believe that interconnection is the biggest game-changer of the 21st century, fostering new forms of interaction and innovation. This includes invaluable contributions from thousands of employees who live and work in a different country than where they were born.

From our first days in 1998, we believed interconnection would be essential to the emerging digital economy. As our world has become increasingly connected, these early theories have been proven out.
